01 / Scope

Scope and controller

This policy applies to the IP Finder Android application, website, APIs, and related diagnostic services (together, the “Services”).

StreamFX, the operator of IP Finder, is responsible for the processing described in this policy. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to appdavion@gmail.com.

02 / Summary

In brief

  • IP Finder does not require an account or request your name, contacts, or precise GPS location.
  • Network tools must process IP addresses and related technical data to return the results you request.
  • Saved targets, history, cached results, and preferences are mainly stored on your device.
  • Analytics, crash reporting, app configuration, advertising, and billing may involve third-party services.
  • We do not sell personal data or use it for decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.

03 / Data

Data we use and why

DataPurpose
Public IP, lookup targets, DNS resolver addresses, connection measurements, and IP-derived approximate locationProvide the network feature you request and display its result
Request, device, app-version, and random installation informationDeliver the Services, maintain compatibility, prevent abuse, and protect reliability
Saved targets, search or test history, cached results, and preferencesProvide local history, saved items, and settings on your device
App usage and crash information, where data collection is enabledUnderstand App use, diagnose problems, and improve reliability
Advertising choices, advertising or device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID, where available), IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data, where ads are enabled Request, deliver, and measure personalized or non-personalized ads, apply privacy choices, limit ad frequency, and prevent fraud
Google Play product, purchase status, and entitlement informationComplete and restore a purchase; IP Finder does not receive your full payment-card details

Like other internet services, IP Finder endpoints receive the source IP of a request. Ping targets and other networks you choose to contact may also observe your public IP. IP-based location is approximate and is not device GPS location.

The IP Finder website is hosted by Cloudflare. It does not currently use first-party behavioral analytics or advertising trackers, although hosting and security providers process ordinary request information to deliver and protect the site.

04 / Providers

Third-party services

IP Finder uses third parties to provide infrastructure, app operations, advertising, distribution, and billing. Some act on our behalf, while others may process data under their own terms. Their documentation explains the data they handle, their retention practices, and available controls:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, API delivery, security, caching, and server-side map rendering. Read the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Google Firebase — Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, and related identifiers where used. Read Privacy and Security in Firebase.
  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and User Messaging Platform — advertising and privacy choices where ads are enabled. Depending on your consent choices and applicable law, Google and its ad technology partners may serve personalized or non-personalized ads. IP Finder shares advertising requests and the advertising-related information described above with Google and the ad technology providers involved in serving, measuring, and protecting ads. Read the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play — App distribution, purchases, entitlement verification, updates, and reviews. Read the Google Privacy Policy and Google Play Terms.

IP Finder also uses diagnostic infrastructure to provide public-IP detection, IP geolocation, and DNS tests. This policy covers processing for those IP Finder features.

06 / Retention

Retention and data deletion

We keep data only for as long as needed for the purposes above. The period depends on whether the data is needed to provide a feature, maintain a local cache or entitlement, protect the Services, resolve a problem, or meet a legal requirement.

  • Local App data remains until you delete it, clear App data, or uninstall the App, unless it expires sooner.
  • IP Finder operational data and caches are limited to what is reasonably needed to operate and secure the Services.
  • Third-party services retain data according to their settings and policies linked above.

To request deletion of off-device data that can reasonably be linked to you, email appdavion@gmail.com. Because IP Finder has no user accounts, some provider or server records may not be reasonably linkable to a request. Limited data may be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the Services.

We may retain aggregated or de-identified information where it can no longer reasonably identify an individual.

07 / Control

Your choices and rights

You can delete local items in the App or clear the App's storage. Where required, you can review, change, or withdraw your advertising consent using the privacy options made available in the App through Google's User Messaging Platform. Your updated choices apply to subsequent ad requests. Other controls depend on the App version and the relevant provider.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing controlled by IP Finder. You may also complain to a competent data-protection authority. Changing or withdrawing a consent choice does not affect processing that was lawful before the change.

Send requests to appdavion@gmail.com. We may ask for limited information reasonably needed to understand and verify your request.

08 / Safeguards

International transfers and security

IP Finder and its providers may process data outside your country. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, contractual safeguards, or another lawful mechanism. Provider documentation linked above describes safeguards used for their services.

We use measures appropriate to the Services, including encrypted connections, access controls, rate limits, and data minimization. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

09 / Children

Children

IP Finder is a general network utility and is not directed to children under 13. Where local law requires parental authorization for data processing, that authorization must be obtained. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data contrary to this policy.

10 / Contact

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the Services, providers, or law changes. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
